Back River Surge
Back River Surge is a non profit organization is dedicated to the development of our players both on and off the field. It is our goal that our girls not only mature into better athletes and softball players but they use the discipline and drive learned in the Surge experience to elevate their academic performance and civic awareness. It is also important to us to create a quality family environment for parents and their daughters.
It is our intent for players to participate and grow within the system and realize their maximum potential. As with any competitive organization, managers are always seeking to improve their teams by adding player personnel. Tryout Dates
Please note that team age is determined by players age on January 1st.
10U and 12U tryouts dates are set for August 21st from 9am to 11am at Yorktown Elementary School located at 131 Siege Lane Yorktown. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tryouts in order to fill out the necessary paperwork. For more information please email us at brownjs16@gmail.com
16u tryouts will be held on August 19th from 6pm to 8pm and August 21st from 4pm to 6 pm both at Menchville High School in Newport News. Please contact Dave Meeks at 757-434-0242 should you require more information.
18u tryouts will be held on August 26th from 6pm to 8pm, August 28th from 4pm to 6 pm and again on August 29th from 4pm to 6 pm. All tryouts will be held at Menchville High School. If you should require more information please contact Dave Hanna at 757-876-1218 or Jenna Wilson at 757-951-8831.
